About the Event
This is a form for new members. Current members only need to respond to a summer session related thread on discord, which will be available by April 1.
MonRiverGames runs free student and community sessions of which participants learn a professional game studio workflow and work within large groups on new and current game projects. These sessions run concurrent to West Virginia University's Academic Calendar (Spring, Summer, Fall) as the studio is an experiential part of their Game Design, and Interactive Media program. Participants must be ages 18+. Prior experience is helpful, especially for leadership roles, but not required. These sessions are hybrid in the Spring and Fall sessions, and remote in the Summer Session. There is an inperson component during Spring and Fall, required of participating "for-credit" students but open to community member participation as well. It is recommended that each session you sign up for you concentrate on developing a specific skill, so that you have a more focused experience. Below is a schedule. Events marked with an *asterisk* have not been confirmed yet. There may be additional events/conferences added to this schedule. We have access to a 12 passenger van for events that are driveable (up to 12 hours away). Cost sharing would include gas, food, and lodging.
