Project Overview
Glory for Goblins is an action adventure game with light real time strategy elements about the Goblin King taking revenge on humanity for destroying the forests. You play as the Goblin King leading your band of goblins into battle to burn down human villages for their transgressions against your people.
This project was conceptualized and developed by WVU students M. Bosley, Brodey Cook, and Jorge Rosero Tejada as part of their Intermediate Game Design course. You can actually play their original version of the game here. They later pitched the project to MonRiverGames in the Fall of 2025 and it became one of our studio's games during our Fall 2025 sprint.

Developer Update
Here is the Fall 2025 update from Brodey Cook about the game:
"The game now sees the player collecting Fire Fruit instead of coal, which the player gathers from a Fire Tree that will replenish its fruit over time. The player now sends their Goblins to the tree or houses to interact with the objects. The Knights will now try to put out the fires on villager houses, so the player has to assign Goblins to defend the houses. The levels are also now much smaller, with the goal aiming to be quick and fun challenges that will increase in size and difficult as the player progresses through levels.
There have also been some visual changes. The camera angle has changed, there is a new cel shading style added, and the world now has a cylindrical bend to it. We felt this added a cohesiveness to the art style, and felt that the bending of the world will give the player some more visibility for their surrounding environment. We have also added some new UI to the game for the updated interactions.
We have a lot for plans for the coming future, such as new animations, updates to Goblin and Knight combat and interactivity, updates to the UI, and new levels. Hope that everyone looks forward to the coming updates!"
