About us
A game development community studio dedicated to providing enriching and professional experiences within game design and the arts for its members. MonRiverGames is located within Monongalia County in West Virginia. We are registered in the state of West Virginia as a non-profit voluntary organization 501 (c) (3). We are closely partnered with the Game Design and Interactive Media Program at West Virginia University
Members
Membership is composed of community members with a passion for game making as well as students, faculty, and alumni from West Virginia University's Game Design and Interactive Media undergraduate program. The school also provides a graduate program in game design that can be accomplished fully online.
Making Connections
The relationships we build with each other and the greater game dev community are what is important to us. The games we develop are generally "just for fun's sake", but some are more serious. You'll see us at cons and other game related events. Stop by, say hello, and play our latest!
Enrichment
Through the games we create and our community, our goal is to provide enriching experiences for our members and the community we serve. This includes travel to professional game development conferences as well as teaching game and art related workshops. WVU's game developer's club has a long history of providing enriching game dev experiences. Check them out as well if you are a WVU student!
